back from psiek. it was very fun. i loved seeing everyone there. so sad that it's the last one. now i really need to start on that program. ali is spending the night, but not in the same room.
current feeling, slightly annoyed. i need some music. so what to listen to? ah! i know, pi soundtrack. i need to open the window and turn on the fan. it's hot in this room.

ali is in here right now, she is distracting me from my work, but that's ok. I feel better. Time to pick up where i left off at work. hrm.. hangman....

keep on coding. current music: philip glass : koyaanisqatsi
I find that I can write code the best with the two types of music. wordless dance music (ambient, trance, etc.) and classical. I enjoy classical more though.

yay! the games plays! things that it still doesn't do:
  • it doesn't draw the hangman
  • it doesn't have a pregenerated word list
  • it doesn't have all the error checking needed to prevent the program from being crashable

once i add those, i can go to bed.

I'm having lots of trouble getting the program to read in the file. this c++ book isn't helping. the program either doesn't compile, or crashes. i've been up all nite doing this. arg
    update:
I can make it read the first word in the list. maybe if i work off of that.

ok. i've finished the program to the point of being able to turn it in. i could get two hours of sleep now. oh joy. i have to make sure that i get up and go to school a liitle early so that i can print off the program for class.

back from school. didn't go to my math class. too tired. i get to my cs class, all ready to turn in my program, and it's due on tuesday. it must have been moved back on one of the days i didn't go. but it's a good thing i did it last night because i don't have time over the weekend, being that i'm camping and all. i do have time to fix the small problems and the style problems.
so anyway, i'm really tired, all glazed over. i feel numb. i really need to sleep a little bit more. i'm going to set my alarm to wake me up so that i have time to get some food and then go to work. yea, also, any opinions to make my program better will be kindly accepted. and any criticisms would be nice too. they are here.. so tired...

I went and did the adsm server thing. They guys I work with hope that one day soon, this will be part of my job. i'll just go over there, swap the tapes. and they don't have to worry about it. but i don't think i would be able to do that yet. it's still neat to watch the robot do it's thing. moving tapes around and such.
