Playstation 2

I’ve been desiring a PlayStation 2 for a while now. I keep on thinking about buying one, but I just haven’t had the spare money to do that. With this new job with a higher income, I’m feeling more confident about my money dealings. So I was this1 close to buying a PS2 for my own pleasure, but a different solution presented itself.

I’ve been hanging out with fadingbluestar a lot lately. I don’t think I’ve mentioned her recently, but she definitely deserves some recognition. While other friends have faded into the background, she has pushed for a better friendship. I know that sometimes I’m a difficult person to be a friend with, but she puts out an honest amount of effort and I appreciate it. I hope I reciprocate enough.

The idea came up that, since I have a Game Cube and she has a PlayStation 2, we should trade game systems as well as games. So I packed up my system and games and met at her house. I brought home a PS2 and 24 games. Unfortunately, Becky did not own the two games that I wanted to play the most. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Final Fantasy X. How someone could miss these two essentials, I’m not sure, but I quickly remedied the situation.

I drove over to my nearest GameStop and bought the Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy box set. I want to buy a PS2 sooner or later anyways, so I think my investment is OK. But this lead to the logic that buying Final Fantasy X was OK as well. I’m not so sure about that, financially, but I’ll let it slide because the game is quite fun.

So now I’ve found myself playing 5 different games at once. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas; Final Fantasy X; Katamari Damacy; Final Fantasy IV2 and Chrono Trigger3.
1. <------->
2. I actually owned this game for the PlayStation, but couldn’t resist testing the PS2’s backwards compatibility and now I’m hooked.
3. Actually a repeat of Number 2, but this game is on the same collection and I couldn’t keep myself from playing it. Damn you SquareSoft for making these amazing games!

I want to play XII and I was really tempted to buy it instead of X. The deciding factor was that XII is $50 and X was $20.

I might end up there. I haven't thought of my plans for tonight yet. 'roke been fun so far, though.

seriously. don't even bother with X. scrounge up $30, take it back to the store, and exchange it for XII. X made me sick of the FF series; XII redeemed it.

You sir, have excellent taste in video games.

Katamari Damacy was great -- We <3 Katamari is even better.

I played a ton of GTA:SA until I Ran into bugs within the game and couldn't progress any further. Hope you don't run into similar issues.

I just bought a Wii.. couldn't resist any longer.

You should -- it's totally worth it. You get to enjoy more King humor, meet the Queen and (if you're awesome like I am) even roll them up on the last stage.

Thanks for the compliment.

GTA:SA seems to have some graphical problems here and there, but I haven't seen any bugs that are game stoppers. What happened in your game?

Uhh.. I was down to 2 storylines and 1 required that I work-out so I could impress some girl, but I couldn't work-out at all.. and the other storyline required flying out somewhere but the quest would never 'trigger' once I got there.

"Katamari Damacy was great -- We <3 Katamari is even better." You think so? I had both games and I liked the first one a lot more. the second one just seems to lack something that the first one had. like that awesome into sequence. . .

The sequel took me a little while to get used to -- the controls are slightly different. And I was dissapointed by the lack of wacky intro -- but the game makes up for it later.

I believe I'm going to purchase San Andreas. I'm not a big fan of GTA, but I'm willing to try San Andreas since I've heard from oh-so-many people that it's a supafly game. I am also probably going to give up my hunt for We Love Katamari and just buy it online. Also - FFX was just too slow for me... I was bored almost immediately.

I don't think it's been difficult to be your friend at all, actually. I don't know what source you're getting this from, but I think it's rubbish.

Speaking of which, what are you doing this weekend anyway? I'm planning on committing some serious time to Tales of Symph., perhaps catching up on Lost (I think I'm three epi.s behind now... :-\), but you can participate in all of those that you choose to. In conclusion, I think radishes are a waste of time, and you and I should hang out.

No shit about FFX being slow. I'm about 4 hours in and the storyline is just barely starting. It's been one long dream sequence so far. I've never played a Final Fantasy that has such a confusing beginning. But now that I've clocked a bit of time on it, I'm really getting into it.

San Andreas is an impressive game as well. But in the end, it's still just a game about stealing cars and killing people. But this time you get to fly planes, swim in the water and go on long country drives.

We totally need to hang out this weekend. I'm two episodes behind on Lost myself. All this video game playing has really been cutting into my tv watching. :P
