Absolutely, I should have. I think I need some moral support for the audience, though.

I need to be more like Aaron Eckhart's character and less like Mike Malloy's character in the movie 'In the Company of Men'.

Hahahah I love that movie. I need to rent it so Katie can see it. So brutal!

Totally brutal. It's difficult for me to relate to a character who gets so much personal enjoyment from causing pain to others. It's like a constant struggle to prove he's better than everyone else.

Yeah - I couldn't relate to either of the characters and yet they were still believable. I've never related to the idea of hating women (or men) because a relationship went to hell, though - that always seemed ridiculous to me. I mean, I'll go through a tough breakup and want to avoid relationships or I may have trust issues but I'm aware those are on me and not the opposite sex as a whole.

    A tangent
That might beg the question, at what point should these observations about the opposite sex be lumped together into classifications or stereotypes?

Not so much about hating women, men or people in general, but just using the information to manipulate others more efficiently. Lots of people seem to blur that general manpulation of others with misogyny, but I don't see them as the same thing.
