Wii

So now, the Nintendo Revolution is called Wii. Some people hate the name, but I don't. I've let it sink in for about 15 minutes so far and I officially think the name is clever. Video game systems do not have good names in general. Xbox, Playstation, GameCube, PSP, DS, etc. The names haven't been interesting since the Neo Geo came out.

Nintendo is taking risks with this new system. Why should what they call it be any different?

I forget which site I was reading, but I liked their explanation of the name: "It's now called the Wii. As in, Wii, Wii, Wii, all the way home." Heh.

I think everyone who doesn't like the name just regrets not guessing the pronunciation on the first try. Like how Viiv sucks because it doesn't rhyme with leave.
