We have a STACK of Q's old C&H I refused to let him toss. I never really read them... should, huh?

C&H is an interesting comic. A lot of the humor is either cynical or really smart, which sets it apart from other syndicated cartoons. Also, the art in the comic is quite amazing.

Unfortunately, the story in today's schools would have the teacher saying "Oh, well in that case, let me give you a higher grade. I wouldn't want you thinking you're not doing well, or anything... even if you're... not." It's not the fault of the teachers, but of the current system... administration and parents. No wonder Japan mops the floor with us.

There is definitely social commentary in the cartoon, just like most C&H comics, but it looked more like a criticism of our view of mental health.

Students today are so coddled. I can really see it working for both arguments.
