The Harry Potter movie franchise is amazing. We have four movies out of seven so far and not a single one has disappointed. Is it because they are trying to stay true to the books? Possibly. The books are all very good, but good books do not always make good movies. The series reminds me of Lord of the Rings in the level of quality that is being produced.

So the latest in the series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, lives up to the hype of the series. I don't think it was the best of the series, i think that honor still lies with the Prisoner of Azkaban, but it's close. GoF is a big story and there is lots of action and special effects to fill the screen. There has been several reviews complaining about things getting cut from the book, but honestly I would have cut the same type of things if I were making the movie. Do we really need more of Dobby? He is Harry Potter's Jar Jar Binks, if you ask me.

All in all, they turned out a great action movie for this one.

I missed that. I'll have to look for that next time I watch it. Interesting, I wonder what the director is trying to say about the story with that? Harry's duel sense of self? Harry and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named mirror each other even though they and enemies? Hmm....

Why would that need to be in the book? hehe.
