I liked it.
It had some weaknesses and the love story is tacked on, but the vast majority of it is excellent. Douglas Adams' writing shines through this and the film maker's vision of this universe is true to him. What it felt like to me was that they had a long script filled with all sorts of great ideas but with no ending. So they cut out a bunch of stuff and hired some screenplay writer to finish the movie all nice and neat. Nothing really wrong with that, the ending felt a little incomplete and it leads itself to another film.
I have to work tomorrow, so I'm cutting this off here.
