love3k scam

I've been noticing that a post I made a while back has kept on been getting a decent amount of interesting annoymous comments.

Remember that internet dating post I made almost a year ago? Well, apparently it's the number one hit if you search love3k scam on google. Taking some pride in a post I made a long time ago, ah yea.

So, patrick, when you going to make an interesting post again?

I just googled "love3k scam"...
AND GUESS WHOSE PAGE CAME UP????

Of course, you never seem to do the google within the 3 day trial. It's always after a week or so, and then it's too late!

I love TMBG. I saw them live a couple years ago at a small club here in seattle. So completely amazing.

love3k investigations
Just to let you folks know, love3k should be getting shut down soon. They listed fake infortmation in their doman and company registration, and their domain server provider (rackspace.com) has been contacted.

Re: love3k investigations
You are 100% right, it is a COMPLETE scam. I found myself in the exact same situation. Did the free trial thing and met several really hot girls, all who said the same thing basically. They all said like 5 to 6 sentences but told me NOTHING, all vagueries and each could have been the same person. After I corresponded with them a few times I noticed they never responded to anything specific that I said, just the usualy "how r you, hope ur day is good" blah blah blah. I then tested my theory by telling them each something outrageous which any REAL person would respond directly to, and guess what, THEY SAID NOTHING ABOUT IT.
LOVE3K = COMPLETE SCAM

Re: love3k investigations
Looks like the Site is still up and running.
I guess the attempts to shut it down were unsuccessful.
I fell for all the usual crap on the site that most of you guys did... the aimless pheases. I often find the same people posting on competing web sites and I advise the site admins and the posts are removed. I enjoy the small bit of revenge.

I recently ran into someone who tried to get me to come to the site and when I tried to get her to write to me outside of the site, she said she'd never give an e-mail address to a complete stranger and was very confrontational. Especially when I said the site was a waste of time Gee... I wonder why... :)

I found a site called Webdate which seems to be free... at least when it is free you can sort out the loonies....

I wish i had a livejournal account to reply with, i love reading your journal. i do think that men need to get lives and find something better to do, this thread makes people sound pretty pathetic, the internet's full of stupid stuff, get used to it and ignore it, haha.
take it from a woman who's tried meeting guys online, it just doesn't work. give up. ;)

Well, you are sure bitter, my dear. I don't think there is anything wrong with meeting people online. Personally, I really struggle with meeting complete strangers in real life. I tend to freeze up with new people. I'm a little shy until I get more comfortable with people. Online is much easier to start conversations with people.

You can make a journal, if you wanted.

love3k scam
Damn i found about the love3k scam a few hours after i signed up for the 1 month. The same thing happened to me too. Someone left me a random message during my free trial and one before my trial ended. Is there anyway to get my money back because of this fraudulent service? Where can i report this?

Re: love3k scam
Another sucker joins the ranks. Hey guys, I hate to admit it, but I've been scammed too. Looks like its a pretty good scam they have going there. In all of NYC, there are only 4.5 pages of women on the site. Only 9 women in NYC have photos posted. However there are at least 300 pages of dudes. That's about 6000 dudes they scammed in NYC alone.
I was lured by a girl (ahem - I mean photo of a girl) on match.com.
But I think I get the prize for biggest sucker as I signed up for the 3 month subscription : (
Glad to know I wasn't the only sucker out there.
